We are excited to offer again our Shooting Star Striker Camp. This unique program focuses on the most important part of the game: creating chances and scoring goals. This is not just for forwards; it is for any player who wants to improve their attacking skills. Small groups are set up to challenge individuals in repetitive game situations where attacking players need to excel: crossing and finishing with different surfaces of the foot, long distance shooting, combination play, 1v1’s, turning and shooting in the box, and run selection/movement. Red Star Soccer Academy uses Ajax Amsterdam’s player development curriculum, the most advanced training method in the world.

The Ajax curriculum is designed to help each player become more proficient in the technical (dribbling, passing & receiving, ball striking & shooting, etc..) and tactical (1v1 attacking, 1v1 defending, decision making, combination play) demands of the game.

Players should expect an enjoyable, but demanding experience and be prepared to put forth the necessary effort. Our staff aims to foster an appropriate environment for learning.

The goal of the Red Star Pre-Comp Academy is to identify very young soccer players who will enjoy a more dynamic play environment, and to provide a technical pathway for future transition into competitive soccer. By offering recreational-league players a chance to train in a new and challenging environment, Red Star will create a larger pool of enthusiastic, technically proficient players. Development Academy sessions will be planned and run by licensed Red Star coaches and will emphasize enjoyment of the game, as well as sound fundamental soccer skills and technique.

The Academy curriculum is designed for players aged five through ten and emphasizes an introduction to ʻthe beautiful game,ʼ and proper execution of basic techniques such as dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting in a fun yet challenging environment.

For the winter season, the program runs from February through March, a total of 10 one-hour sessions. Cost for the program is $160 per player and includes adidas training t-shirt and entry into two in-house play-date soccer festivals. Drop-in sessions are available, please contact our Technical Director.

When a player exhibits these characteristics, distinguishing themselves from their peers, Red Star will acknowledge and congratulate them with a "Star of the Month" certificate.
